During the Lent
The Three Pillars of Lent:  Fasting, Almsgiving & Praying.  You are encouraged to attend weekday Mass (details above), pray the Rosary, attend Stations of the Cross, attend Eucharistic Adoration (Fridays in the chapel), spend quiet time with the Blessed Sacrament (church is open every day), attend Bible Study.

Bishops Lenten Appeal – Sacrficium
Help yourself to a pack of envelopes at the entrance table and return one envelope each week with your donation. Children may place their offerings in the large Mite Box in the Sanctuary or help themselves to a small Mite Box on the main table at the church entrance. 

Women World Day of Prayer – Fri 06 Mar
09:30 at the Presbyterian Church, 52 – 5th Ave Linden.  

Proclaimers of The Word – Sat 14 Mar
Short Workshop for new (and current) proclaimers in the church : Sat 14 Mar AND Sat 18 Apr 11:00 to 12.30. Tel.  Christo te Brake 0824104347 to register if you would like to join this Ministry.  

St Patrick’s Day Irish Coffee – Sun 15 March
The Catholic Women’s League will serve Irish Coffees after the morning Masses, in celebration of St Patrick’s day (17 March).  Please support them.

Lenten Retreat: Encountering Jesus in His Passion – Sat 28 March
The PPC invites parishioners to join us for a retreat taking place at St Charles, starting with Mass at 08:00 until around 14:00. Directed by Frances Correia. Participants to bring a Bible, a pen and journaling book and their own lunch. Registration is essential – register on www.saintcharles.co.za

Confirmation and Catechism Classes
No registrations accepted after February. Confirmation Mondays 18:30 – 19:30.  Catechism Tuesdays 15:30 – 16:30.  Contact Giselle 084 584 2229 

RCIA adult Catechism
Tuesdays – 19h00 to 20h00 upstairs at the parish office.  A 12 month programme for those interested in being received into the Catholic Church or wanting to know more about the Catholic faith.
